fancies:

Captain Harville: Miss Anne Elliot?

Three little words make up my favourite moment in this adaptation. I love this bit so much more than I can say! The implication that Wentworth’s been rambling on and on to his bffs about how fantastic Anne is until they’re sick of hearing about her and now they can finally put a face to the name. The fact that Wentworth painfully only introduces her as Miss Elliot because he knows what’s about to happen now that they’re all there together and he’s just so painfully awkward about it all. The surprised/trying to not let the blissful happiness show on her face look that Anne has when she’s told her own name (secretly thinking: omgz omgz does this mean he talked about me!?) Everyone else’s TOTALLY OBLIVIOUS TO THE UST apart from Harville who’s like heh heh heh Wentworth you sly dog. <3 SO MUCH EXCRUCIATING PAIN but in the very best way.
